Language for Justice (L4J) mission

Language for Justice (L4J) is a grassroots decolonial and counter-colonial communication initiative by and for interpreters, translators, and language advocates from marginalized and underrepresented communities. We believe language should be a bridge, not a barrier.

We address linguistic exclusion by providing our community with access to professional development, specialized training, and direct advocacy. We are now expanding our scope to support mission-driven organizations globally with their interpreting and industry-related needs.

Our mission is to empower our members with the necessary tools and credentials to create tangible opportunities in education, justice, healthcare, and civic life. We actively work to achieve a more equitable and multilingual world, dismantling communication hierarchies from within.
